Get Involved

Sun God Festival owes its success to the incredible staff and volunteers needed to assist with operations the week leading up to the festival – especially Thursday and Friday. Anyone interested in volunteering at this year’s festival on Friday, May 16th, and/or any related event the week-of, must fill out and turn in a volunteer application for consideration. Your help is highly appreciated! Spots are limited, so it’s best to apply as soon as you can. And, hey, there might be a free shirt in it for you!

General Information

Volunteers will work at least one 5 hour shift. Volunteer responsibilities range from staffing water, information, and help booths to assisting with art & décor projects. Volunteers who work all day will receive a meal ticket.

Application Information

Volunteer applications close January 31, and volunteers must be able to attend one orientation prior to the festival. Non-San Diego volunteers may request special arrangements for orientations through Volunteer Director, Dorothy Chow.

Applications must be physically turned in by 3pm on Friday, January 31, 2014 to Dorothy Chow in the AS Concerts & Events Office on the 4th floor of Price Center East. Original signed copies are required; we cannot accept scans, faxes, or copies. Applications can also be mailed but must be received no later than Monday, February 3 for consideration; mailing address may be found on the application. Volunteer shifts are based on your availability.

Any further questions regarding volunteering can be directed to Volunteer Director, Dorothy Chow.
